Home Energy Skills Training
In October 2024, our good friends Power Up North London (PUNL) ran a course for Camden & Islington residents to become energy champions through a ‘Energise Your Career: Home Energy Skills training programme. The course was kindly hosted by the Euston Skills Centre.
Aims of the course
- To teach the basics to residents of home energy improvements, such as retrofit, solar and heat pumps
- To provide residents with the foundation for employability in the green sector
- Opportunity for further study with a chance for 3 students to take part in NEA Energy Awareness Level 3 training
Our involvement in the project was to help PUNL recruit the residents. We recruited 12 lucky members of the community who were able to learn these key skills at no cost.
